Trond Egil Hansen, who has previously been the medical chief adviser in Bergen Municipality, will fill the position of the municipal chief physician.
The Municipality is merging the two positions through a reorganization.
“The new organization clears up ambiguities in responsibilities and tasks between the municipal chief physician and the medical chief adviser.
“I look forward to entering a role with an expanded area of responsibility,” Hansen said.
He will take up the new position from Tuesday, June 1.
