On the night before Sunday, Oslo police received a number of complaints about noise from parks. At St. Hanshaugen, there were an estimated 2,000 people.

With so many people gathered, not everyone complied with the infection control rules, but the police tried to follow up with people.

At 2:30 AM, St. Hanshaugen was almost empty, operations manager Sven Christian Lie in the Oslo Police District told news bureau NTB.

Alleged violent incident

A large number of people also gathered in Frognerparken. There, the police were notified of a violent incident but were unable to find any victim.

There was also loud music in the park, and the police had to stop the noise.

According to the newspaper Avisa Oslo, one person was brought in by the police because the person in question climbed on top of a police car at St. Hanshaugen.
