The roads are icy and very slippery in several places in Western Norway.
“We got several reports of slippery roads in Voss, Granvin, Vinje, and Suldal. The contractor has had all salt trucks out last night and is calling them out again.
“The weather is clearing now, the temperature is above zero in the air, but it is below zero in the roads,” Vegtrafikksentralen vest wrote on Twitter a little after 8:30 AM on Friday.
On Thursday evening, the Norwegian Public Roads Administration had to close national road 7 over the Hardangervidda due to slippery roads. However, the road over the mountain plateau was reopened after a couple of hours.
