Former Økokrim chief Trond Eirik Schea has been hired as legal director of the NAV, a position created in the wake of the so-called NAV scandal.
The NAV confirmed the information to AdvokatWatch.
Thus, Schea is to be the NAV’s first legal director in history. The department was created in the wake of the so-called NAV scandal.
The new legal department will eventually have 30 employees.
Schea was head of Økokrim for ten years, before he started working at the Office of the Attorney General in 2019. It has not been clarified when Schea will take up the new position at the NAV.
