Two sisters in their late 70s from Hedmark have been released after being in custody for a week.
The two are charged with the mistreatment of their 99-year-old mother.
The two were arrested and imprisoned after a violent incident on the night of Sunday, July 31, Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK) reports.
The abuse is said to have taken place in the 99-year-old mother’s home.
The mother has been admitted to the hospital, the police say. Both sisters deny criminal guilt.
