King Harald has tested negative for COVID-19, Queen Sonja told Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK). The king was on sick leave on Friday with cold symptoms.
“It’s just a mild cold,” the queen told NRK.
The king has been on sick leave since Friday after he developed cold symptoms. The day before, Foreign Minister Anniken Huitfeldt (AP) tested positive for corona only hours after being in an audience at the Palace.
“I sincerely hope that I did not infect King Harald, Queen Sonja, or Crown Prince Haakon in the audience yesterday,” she wrote in a statement to NTB on Friday.
The royal couple has received three vaccine doses against COVID-19.
