A 21-year-old Afghan man was sentenced to 13 years in prison on Monday for the murder of his ex-girlfriend in Evje on October 30 last year, Fædrelandsvennen writes.

The man pleaded guilty on all counts during the trial in Agder District Court.

According to the newspaper, the court thought the sentence should have been 14 years, but the confession led to a one-year deduction.

The murder took place after the accused man traveled from Drammen to Evje to meet his ex-girlfriend at the premises of the Child Welfare Service for a meeting about the care of the couple’s daughter.

  1. What? Is that all that poor womans life is worth?
Does her family not deserve more justice? She is dead, he is alive and will spend a short time in a very nice Norwegian jail.
