Nine years prison for attempted murder in Harstad
A 37 year old man has been sentenced to nine years in prison for stabbing a woman in a home, in Harstad last year.
The verdict was given in Trondenes District Court on Friday, reports Harstad Tidende.
The court believes the woman could have been killed had she not quickly received medical treatment, after the stabbing on 7th December last year.
The man, who is a Turkish citizen, has claimed he was insane during the moment of the action. The judgment is in line with the prosecutor’s assertion.
