The police state that a boat was found below the waterfall at Tokagjelet in Kvam on Monday morning, where a search is underway for three missing persons.
“We link the boat to the incident,” task leader Svein Valland Laupsa stated in a press release.
Crews from the Alpine rescue group, in collaboration with the fire brigade’s drone, found the boat below the waterfall, which is estimated to be 15 meters high.
None of the three people or the missing dog have been found. The police state that they still consider this as a rescue operation.
“The longer it takes, the lower the chances of finding them alive. But we are still searching and hope to find them alive,” Laupsa said.
“We are searching throughout the river,” Laupsa added.
The police state that the three missing people are from Askøy outside Bergen. The three are referred to as “well-adult” people.
