During a police operation on the night between Thursday and Friday, the police fired shots at a person in Nordhordland. The person has been taken to the hospital, the police said.
The police stated that the person who was shot was awake and conscious and was immediately taken care of by health personnel and taken to Haukeland University Hospital.
The Norwegian Bureau for the Investigation of Police Affairs (Spesialenheten for politisaker) has been routinely notified of the shooting incident, which occurred during an assignment in Knarvik in Alver Municipality, the Western Police District stated in a press release.
