On Monday morning, an upper secondary school student in Tønsberg was injured when a fellow student threw a pair of scissors into his back. The boy has been sent to the hospital.

“There are two students who were playing and throwing things at each other. In connection with that, the game became a little too violent, and a pair of scissors was thrown into the back of one student,” operations manager Tore Grindem in the Southeastern Police District told NTB.

The police were notified of the incident at 10:54 AM on Monday. The two students involved are boys who go to the school.

“The injured boy has been taken to hospital,” Grindem said.

The police are now taking care of those involved and conducting investigations on the spot.
