Two people have been fined NOK 10,000 kroner for violating the COVID-19 regulations by crossing the border on Kruttfjellet from Sweden into Norway on Sunday.
The border crossing is closed and has no possibility of testing, the Nordland Police District stated in a press release.
“The two people had not complied with the provision that persons who have resided in an area with a quarantine obligation must test for COVID-19 at the border, and they also passed through a border crossing that is closed,” the police noted.
Thus, they were fined NOK 10,000 each for violating the COVID-19 regulations.
The police emphasize that it is not allowed to cross closed border crossings and that these crossings are monitored even if they are closed.
