Statskog will give grants to volunteer groups for outdoor activities in Norway
The goal: Promoting a healthy outdoor lifestyle. Statskog is accepting applications through August for this round of funding.
Volunteer groups across the country can now apply for support from Statskog, if they’re carrying out activities related to outdoor recreation.
The support scheme, which is called “Statskogmillionen,” will distribute grants twice a year. Accepted applicants can receive either NOK 5,000 or 10,000.
“You can fill out a simple application form on our website during August. Then, we will pick out good proposals throughout the country that positively impact outdoor life,” said Statskog Communications Manager Trond Gunnar Skillingstad in a press release.
In particular, Skillingstad highlighted small, volunteer-based projects such as purchasing canoes, fire pits for camping, picnic areas, and more.
