The day after the United States’ new entry rules came into force on November 8, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the Crown Prince will visiting the country from December 5 to December 9.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that Crown Prince Haakon will visit New York from December 6 to December 7 and Washington DC from December 7 to December 9.
Foreign Minister Anniken Huitfeldt (Ap), Minister of Petroleum and Energy Marte Mjøs Persen (Ap), and Minister of Trade and Industry Jan Christian Vestre (Ap) will also be present on the trip.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the visit will be wide-ranging. In addition to visiting the UN headquarters, the aim of the trip is to promote Norwegian cultural and business interests, climate and energy issues, the High North, and the bilateral relationship between Norway and the United States.
New rules for entry into the United States came into force on 8 November.
