ABBA’s latest album, “Voyage”, has helped vinyl sales soar in the United Kingdom to levels not seen in three decades.

New album helps vinyl records push 5 million

Vinyl records sales have been undergoing a renaissance in the United Kingdom throughout the past year. Sales reached 5 million which was a level last seen back in 1991. Record sales have been helped, in part, by the release of ABBA’s first album in almost 4 decades, “Voyage”.

Vinyl records accounted for almost a quarter of all albums sold in the United Kingdom in 2021. ABBA topped the list on vinyl sales with Ed Sheeran and Adele rounding off the top 3.
