Prime Minister Erna Solberg (H) says that the government decided to wait with the introduction of step four of the reopening plan because it wants the start of school to be as normal as possible.
“We want to have more people vaccinated before we do it because we want to make sure that we schools, universities, and colleges can start operating at the “green” level, a level that allows us to start as normally as possible,” Solberg told news bureau NTB.
It is nevertheless the case that kindergartens and schools in areas with a lot of infection should plan ahead for the “yellow” level, the government noted.
“This especially applies to kindergartens and after-school clubs, which open earlier than schools in August.”
