The number of students waiting for housing before the start of school has been reduced by almost 5000 compared to last year. There are still 12000 without housing.
Just one week before the start of school, a total of 12,810 students are waiting queueing for student housing, according to figures from the Student Welfare Organization.
This number is reduced by almost 5000 compared to the same period last year.
-”Part of the decline is seen in connection with the Corona situation, but numbers show that the government’s investment in student housing works,” says The Leader of the Norwegian Student Organization, Andreas Trohjell.
He emphasizes that associations, municipalities, and the government is still working together to increase the number of student housing , especially now that the number of students is rising.
