Minister for Health and Care Bent Høie (H) informs municipalities that control of nightlife areas must be stricter.
– “I am concerned that the infection control restrictions are not being observed at night spots and restaurants,” says Høie.
He has therefore asked the Directorate of Health to send a letter to the municipalities to tighten control. The letter was sent Tuesday.
– “The risk of spreading Covid-19 is particularly high at night spots and restaurants. It shows by experience of many countries. When we now receive reports of violations of the infection control rules at nightclubs and bars, we ask that the municipalities strengthen supervision of places that serve alcohol and restaurant industry in the big cities,” says Høie.
