The airline Norwegian is laying off another 60 cabin crew in Norway. So far, more than 8,000 have been laid off.

“Significantly reduced demand as a result of travel restrictions and infection control rules means that we must continuously adjust our route offer. It goes without saying that we can not fly around with empty planes,” says Information Director Lasse Sandaker-Nielsen at Norwegian to Dagbladet / Børsen.

He states that the company currently has about 25 aircraft in the air, and that this number will be reduced over the autumn and winter.

“This means that we unfortunately have to lay off another 60 cabin crew in Norway,” says Sandaker-Nielsen.
