Norwegian sets up extra flights to get Norwegians, Swedes and Danes home from Morocco. The company flies two full flights to Oslo and Copenhagen on Wednesday.

There are 186 people on board each of the planes.

In addition, two flights depart from Marrakech to Stockholm on Thursday. Customers who want a seat here must purchase a ticket on Norwegian’s website.

Norwegian has been in close dialogue with the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which has assisted the company in applying for a landing permit in Marrakech.

Norwegian is also working on setting up additional flights from Spain and Turkey.

Unfortunate that Norwegian Air in Edinburgh airport failed to give check in handlers the right information about permanent residents inNorway. My daughter was refused entry to her flight even though she has permanent residency in Norway ,had a letter from the Norwegian embassy in Edinburgh confirming her status, a driving license and a bank card. She had to stay there for 3 extra nights before they admitted their mistake by which time they had no direct flights here. I am not surprised the company is in difficulties.
