3,845 registered corona cases in Norway

At midnight, there were 3,845 cases of corona infection in Norway, which is an increase of 264 cases over the previous day.

The last two days have seen an increase of 480 cases, according to preliminary figures from the Norwegian Institute of Public Health

Twenty deaths have been recorded from the disease. The average age of the deceased is 84 years.

A total of 291 people are now being treated at hospitals for COVID-19.

Of all hospital admissions since the outbreak of the virus in Norway, 128 have been admitted to intensive care. The average age of hospitalized intensive care patients is 59 years. 76 per cent of them are men.

As of March 27th, 82,584 people have been tested for COVID-19, of which around 4 per cent have tested positive.

The figures are taken from the Infectious Diseases Notification System (MSIS) and show a preliminary overview.
