Bird flu: Denmark to cull 100,000 chicken
For the third time this year, Denmark must cull thousands of poultry infected with bird flu.
Around 100,000 hens at Stoholm in Central Jutland have been affected by bird flu and must therefore be culled. The Danish Food Safety Authority announces the information in a press release.
This is the third time that the Danish authorities have had to resort to culling poultry this year.
Just after the New Year, 30,000 turkeys were culled on Lolland, while another 60,000 turkeys were culled on a farm in Southwest Zealand on Thursday.
