BT: 14 people infected with corona at a nursing home in Bergen
Eleven residents and three employees have been infected with coronavirus at the Siljuslåtten nursing home in Bergen.
The nursing home is closed to visitors. All those infected have been vaccinated against COVID-19, either with one or two doses. The residents are fully vaccinated.
Infection tracing work and testing are ongoing, Marion Ytre Kvamme, the head of the institution, noted in a press release.
“The situation related to an ongoing outbreak is demanding. We are following our internal guidelines and contingency plan, and the necessary measures have been implemented. We hope that this outbreak will have a good outcome for all those affected,” she added, according to the newspaper Bergens Tidende (BT).
On Friday, 15 nursing homes in Bergen were affected by the coronavirus in the Municipality.
