Olaug Bollestad, the first deputy leader of the Christian People’s Party, was originally scheduled to travel to Malawi on Monday, but canceled the trip because of government unrest.

– “I had planned to travel with the Minister of Development to Malawi this week, but have announced that I will not attend as expected. We have a long scheduled central board meeting on Friday. When there is unrest in the government, it is important that the deputy leader of the party attend the meeting,” Agriculture and Food Minister Olaug Bollestad told NTB on Sunday evening.

Development Minister Dag-Inge Ulstein (KrF) does not get his party and government colleagues with him when he travels to Malawi on Monday for a five-day visit.

In Malawi southeast of Africa there are political meetings and a closer look at how Norwegian aid funds contribute to the program.
