A man in his 20s has been charged with attempted murder after a man in his 40s was stabbed at Tranby in Lier on Friday afternoon.
Late Friday night, on-duty lawyer Ann Iren Svane Mathiassen in the Southeastern Police District told NTB that the arrested person was being questioned.
The man who was stabbed has been transported to Ullevål hospital. Police have not received any updates about his condition other than that he was alive on Friday night.
“I do not want to say much about the details tonight. This is partly because we want to carry out more witness interviews, and there is a danger of evidence being lost,” Mathiassen said.
“But we have charged the man with attempted murder on the basis of what we know in the case now,” she said.
Among other things, the police conducted interrogations of witnesses who are said to have seen what happened.
The stabbing took place outside an apartment building, and the suspect was apprehended in one of the apartments. The police were notified of the stabbing incident at 4:03 PM on Friday.
