From February 1, fully vaccinated people must have received a booster dose if more than 270 days have passed since their last vaccine dose in order to have a valid corona certificate in the EU.
In other words, from February 1, full vaccination will provide a valid EU corona certificate only for 270 days from the last vaccine dose.
If you have taken or are taking a booster dose, the validity of the certificate will be extended without restrictions, the FHI writes in a press release.
The decision was made by the EU before Christmas. At the same time, the EU decided that getting coronavirus after being fully vaccinated should not be equated with a booster dose. Instead, it would provide a valid corona certificate for 180 days.
The Norwegian corona certificate and verification app will be adapted in accordance with the changes well before February 1, the FHI writes.
