One person (89 year old woman)  is confirmed dead in a house fire on Røyse in Hole Municipality, Buskerud.

The person was taken out of the area filled with smoke after the detached house was in fire. Rescue team tried to save the person but life could not be saved.

There were no other people present in the single-family house when the fire occurred, police said.

– We are still working on site. The fire has been extinguished, but it has been open flames, and there is heavy damage inside the house.

We do not know what happened, but there are indications that the fire started inside, said operations Thov Thorsrud from South-East police to news agency NTB.

Emergency services were alerted for the fire case on Saturday afternoon 15 o’clock.
