A man from Oslo had drunk beer and vodka and had a blood alcohol level of just over 3 parts per thousand after driving in Hemsedal. The sentence was imprisonment and half a million kroner.
The high fine is in relation to the man’s income, which was NOK 12.4 million last year. According to Hallingdal District Court, the 50-year-old had a taxable wealth of more than NOK 60 million last year, writes Hallingdølen newspaper.
The man was found by police in a car that had driven off Hemsedalsvegen in May this year.
