A person has been charged with murder after a person was found dead at Gjettum in Bærum, the Oslo police have told NTB.
“We have found a dead person in Bærum. We have also arrested a person charged with murder,” operations manager Sven Christian Lie in the Oslo Police District told NTB at 6:15 AM on Thursday.
The report about the discovery of the dead person at Gjettum in Bærum came at 2:54 AM, Lie told NTB on Thursday.
The police moved out with considerable resources after the report about the dead person came in, and were still carrying out crime scene investigations on Thursday morning.
Found outdoors
The newspaper Dagbladet first reported that a person had been charged with murder following the discovery of the dead person. Crime squad leader Kjersti Myhre told the newspaper that the dead person was found outdoors.
“A dead person has been found at an outdoor location in Bærum. Investigations at the scene indicate that the victim has been exposed to crime,” she said.
She added that there is a relationship between the dead person and the accused.
“Based on what we know, the victim was not a random victim,” she noted.
Both persons are over 18 years of age.
