A 25-year-old man lost his life in a motorcycle accident on national road 22 in Fetsund on Sunday afternoon.

The man lost control of the bike and drove off the road.

The accident happened at Borgenbrua along national road 22 in Lillestrøm Municipality. The police were notified of the incident at 2:59 PM.

“The motorcycle has been heavily damaged. Witnesses said that the man was driving at high speed,” operations manager Svein Valle in the Eastern Police District told news bureau NTB.

The deceased man is from Innlandet, the police say. National road 22 reopened for traffic in both directions at 5:00 PM on Sunday.
