The police boarded a Russian-owned superyacht located outside Bergen on Thursday.

“We do not have details that we want to publish about the owner,” section leader Kjersti Krog Eidsnes in the border section of the police told the newspaper Bergens Tidende.

The yacht, which sails under the name Shinkai, arrived at Byfjorden between Askøy and Bergen on Thursday. Eidsnes also confirmed that the yacht is Russian-owned.

“Thursday afternoon, the police were on the yacht and checked the crew, passports, and that everything was in line with what had been reported. No discrepancies were found,” Eidsnes said.

Martin Bernsen in the Police Security Service (PST) told the newspaper that they are familiar with the yacht.
