In twelve years, the proportion of women on boards and in management has increased by 2 to 3% points from 17% in 2010 to between 19 and 20% so far in 2022.

The proportion of women with an immigrant background has increased from 3.6% to 8.3% in the same period, according to figures from Statistics Norway (SSB).

The proportion of women who are general managers in limited companies (AS) has also increased. In 2010, 14% were female general managers, while in 2022, the proportion has increased to 17%.

A recent Statistics Norway report on immigrants and entrepreneurship shows that people who own their own business on average earn more than comparable people in the rest of the population. This applies to both men and women, for all age groups, and it also applies to immigrants regardless of gender.
