The international police organization, Interpol, says that sexual abuse against children is getting worse, and victims are younger than before.
It was featured on the radio program, Ekot, on Swedish radio.
‘’The material is getting more violent and the children younger and younger. There is also a strong connection between a lot of violence and especially young boys” said Björn Sellström, Interpol department head investigating crimes against children.
According to Interpol, over half of the victims are not yet in puberty, and about 5% of them are infants.
