A total of 1840 new cases of omicron infection were registered in Denmark on Saturday. That is an increase of 44% from the day before.
The figures were announced by the Danish Infection Control Agency – the Statens Serum Institut.
On Friday, 1280 new cases of the omicron variant were registered in the country.
The first two omicron cases were confirmed in Denmark on November 28, in two people who had traveled to Denmark from South Africa.
