The risk of avalanches around the country has decreased, and it is moderate before Easter week. But the NVE warns people to continue being vigilant in the mountains.
“There are relatively stable and clear conditions throughout the country now. That is, moderate danger, which is normal,” Jostein Aasen at the NVE told Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK).
However, he emphasized that there may be variations around the country, especially in the high mountains.
In Indre Sogn, Jotunheimen, and in Hallingdal, there may be a greater risk of avalanches.
It’s important to be aware of fresh snow, Aasen added.
