A cannabis plantation with about 500 plants met the police when they raided a detached house at Bjørkelangen after receiving anonymous for tips from the public.

On Monday afternoon the police raided the detached house in Aurskog-Høland in Akershus.

“We came across a cannabis plantation with about 500 plants. It is extensive,” says sheriff Hilde H. Straumann from the Aurskog-Høland sheriff district to Inner Akershus Blad.

The house owner, who is not a suspect in the case, says that he has rented out the detached house for about two years.

“This week, we were actually discussing about contacting the police. We haven’t been in the house for two years. Every time we have said that we want to come, the tenant has said that it was not appropriate, that they are on holiday or that they can bring things to us as we need,” he says to Indre Akershus Blad.

According to Romerikes Blad, two people have been charged and questioned by the police. For the time being, they have been detained for four weeks with a letter and visit ban.
