The police have still not arrested anyone after a man was stabbed in his stomach with a sharp object in Oslo city center on Friday night.

‘’Throughout the night we have been conducting tactical investigations and gone through video from surveillance cameras in the area. We are still searching for witnesses who may have seen something’’ said guardian, Mona Nordby of the prison guard in Oslo to NTB news just after 08.00 on Saturday morning.

The police received notification of the incident at Egertorget in Oslo at 21.52 on Friday night.

‘’The condition of the man is not life-threatening, and it is stable’’ said operations manager, Tor Gulbrandsen to NTB news just before midnight on Friday.

According to the police, the man had been stabbed with a sharp object. They are not aware of whether it was a knife or something else.

On Friday night the police wanted to contact two men and a woman who left Egertorget in the direction of the Castle.

These could be the perpetrators, and a search was initiated after the incident. They have not yet found them.

The police want to know if anyone has information about the incident, and ask any witnesses to contact them.

‘’We have few descriptions. There were not as many witnesses as one might believe when it is so central’’ said the operations manager.
