During the weekend, Haukeland University Hospital detected 32 mutated virus cases in Helse Bergen, Helse Fonna, and Helse Førde’s area.
Thirty of the cases are of the British variant, while two are of the South African, Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK) reports.
Haukeland University Hospital analyzes positive corona samples from the entire region to find mutated viruses.
The three health trusts cover the whole of Vestland county, as well as the Haugesund region in Rogaland.
The mutated coronavirus outbreak in Vestland county on Sunday led to a sharp lockdown of Bergen and several other municipalities in the former Hordaland.
