A woman need to pay 18,000 kroner after cheating on the practice test

A woman who tried to cheat on the theory part of the driving test in Haugaland District Court is sentenced to 24 days suspended jails and a fine of 15,000 NOK.

The case which she has been judged for happened in October last year. She has been caught when it discovered that there is no sign showing she understood the concepts while she claimed she has passed the test, reported by NRK news.

The woman came to Norway as a refugee in 2012 and had claimed having “limited Norwegian language skills.” In addition to the fine and the conditional sentence she must pay 3.000 NOK for the legal fees.

It has also been discovered that before test she has received a hands free phone device from an assistant. When she took the test she had the cell phone in her purse and the hands free device on her ear. Hidden headphones used by her were discovered at the traffic station in Haugesund.

– She was reading the questions for the assistant supporting her cheating and receiving back the answers via headset device she had, said by the judge.
