A yellow danger warning has been issued for Finnmark due to an incoming polar low-pressure area, which will result in storms.
The low-pressure area formed west of Novaya Zemlya in Russia and is moving west.
“Early Thursday morning, the low-pressure area will hit Nordbanken. It will hit the coast of Finnmark on Thursday morning and move in a southwesterly direction approximately along the coast.
“In the western part of the low-pressure area, there will be periodically storms at sea in the north,” the forecast from Yr states.
Snow, blowing snow, and reduced visibility are expected. The low pressure will decrease a little on Christmas Eve, in the evening.
