Martin Ødegaard was proud and bragging of the Ullevaal atmosphere after the 1-1 match against Spain on Saturday.
– I think it’s a very good match against one of the world’s best national teams. I said after Sweden that it was the best international match I had attended. I can say the same after this, said Ødegaard in the interview zone.
– We can be incredibly proud of this, he added.
Norway draw in overtime after Joshua King scored on penalties.
– Spain are really scoring on something that is not even a chance. At first I think they were a little dangerous, but afterwards I think we were most, said Ødegaard.
Spain’s largest newspaper, Marca, had Ødegaard as one of six Norwegian players who received two stars (three are best) on the player exchange.
– The mood that was after we settled, I have never felt it in Ullevaal. There is a unity on the team and with the audience that feels very special.
On Tuesday, Norway plays out against Romania.
