In a recent interview, Karsten Warholm opened up about future plans. One day, the world champion may replace 400-meter hurdles with other challenges.

On Monday, he ran 400 meters flat in a time of 45.56 at Bislett – the third-fastest time of the year on a distance he doesn’t run often during the season.

Warholm is clear that he will continue to invest heavily in hurdles for the time being.

However, he admitted that he thought about what the future holds for his running career.

“We thought about both the 800 and 400 meters flat,” the star from Ulsteinvik admitted.

“I will seek challenges the day I feel I need them, but right now I feel that I have what I need,” he concluded.

Warholm became world champion in the 400-meter hurdles in both 2017 and 2019.
