One billion air passengers in the EU
The number of air passengers in the EU last year exceeded 1 billion.
A total of 1,043 million passengers took a flight in the EU in 2017, the EU statistical agency informs Eurostat.
This is an increase of 7 per cent from the previous year and 39 per cent compared with the situation ten years ago
