Three of four Norwegians say that they do not want to open Norway for foreign tourists this summer according to a new survey.

The government stated on Thursday that more tourists will be able to visit Norway this summer, but a recent survey by Opinion shows that most Norwegians are skeptical about the opening of borders.

Only 15 percent of those asked are positive about the opening for more foreign tourists to visit Norway, while a whopping 75 percent do not want it.

The survey with about 1,000 respondents is a part of Opinions Norwegian Corona monitor and was conducted this weekend.

That’s understandable and we must respect that decision. Even if it’s very hard for us to stay away from Norway. At the same time we also would like to kindly ask our Norwegian friends to stay away from our Europe. I mean literally and forever. Norway is an O.K. country. Stay home and don’t cross the border to Europe, please.
