No one has an overview of how many electric scooters there are on the streets of Oslo today, but now the capital will have 2,000 new ones.
This is clear after a sixth player now establishes itself in the market. There are already five rental agencies: Voi, Tier, Lime, Bird and Volt. Now Wind comes on the field, writes Aftenposten.
– “We see Oslo as an attractive market. Oslo has come a long way towards a car-free city. Then there is a market for electric scooters in the city,” says Felix Eggert, who is a spokesman for Wind, who on Tuesday placed 400 new electric scooters on the streets of Oslo.
The company, which is headquartered in Berlin, will have 2,000 new two-wheelers in place within a couple of weeks.
No one has an updated overview of how many scooters have been placed out in Oslo, but the number is probably higher than 10,000, according to Aftenposten.
