Brende disagrees with Russia on one time-visa
Foreign Minister Brende still hopes that the returns to Russia may be resumed. But Norway and Russia disagree on the return of asylum seekers with a one time-visa, he admits.
Norway will continue the ongoing discussions with Russia on the return of rejected asylum seekers, says Brende.
– Russia have a different understanding from us on the question of whether the agreement also applies to persons with another visa basis than multiple visas and valid residence in Russia, says Brende.
– We believe we can return them even with a one-time visa, but Russia disagrees with us, he said.
