Chicken sales back on top
Chicken sales are back at the top level of 2014, eighteen months after narasin frightened consumers.
After many years of growth, chicken products was hit by a steep drop in sales after it was revealed that that substance, quite similar to antibiotics, was added to the feed. Last fall, the trend turned and at Nortura sales are back where it was before the crisis, NRK reported.
– Now we buy as much chicken as we did in the peak year of 2014, Executive Director Kjell Rakkenes said. He believes both he and the manufacturers have learned an important lesson from the consumers in the past few years.
