When 80% of all people over the age of twelve in Finland are fully vaccinated, all national corona restrictions will be completely removed – in line with the country’s corona strategy.
“We are not waiting until we reach the vaccination target, we are gradually starting to phase out restrictions now,” Minister of Family and Care Krista Kiuru told the channel Yle.
The target will probably be reached in mid-October. Then, national restrictions will be dropped in favor of regional and local restrictions when needed.
Finland has registered an average of 146 corona infection cases and less than one death per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days.
