Due to bad weather, several mountain passes in Southern Norway are closed on Monday morning.
The Hardangervidda was closed to passenger cars already on Sunday evening, while column driving was introduced for larger vehicles.
On Monday morning, Vegtrafikksentralen reported that national road 7 over the Hardangervidda is closed to all traffic. A new assessment will be made at 1 PM.
County road 50 Aurland – Hol and county road 53 Tyin – Årdal are also closed to traffic, while column driving has been introduced over Hemsedalsfjellet on national road 52.
According to Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK), the wind blew at 25 meters per second at Haugastøl at 5 AM on Monday.
“There have been reports of strong winds in Dovre and the upper parts of Innlandet. This has led to several problems for traffic,” Vegtrafikksentralen Øst wrote on Twitter.
