A 42-year-old man is accused of having shot and killed a 39-year-old man close to the town hall in Oslo in July last year, according to the newspaper Nettavisen.

The 39-year-old man was shot while sitting in a car in Tordenskiolds gate near the town hall in Oslo. The accused was arrested shortly afterward at the scene, after calling the police himself.

The indictment states that the deceased was hit by several shots, according to Nettavisen.

The two men were childhood friends, and in 2018, they were sentenced to prison for a number of serious thefts they had committed together.

The accused does not admit criminal guilt.
